Although, I am proud of my Scottish heritage, I consider myself to be a local.

Over the years I have been keen to foster good community relationships.  In 2015, I was fortunate enough to be elected as a Public Governor, for Midlands Partnership NHS Trust (MPFT). I was re-elected for a second, 3 year term of office in 2018. I have a keen interest supporting those with mental health issues and their carers.

I am new to the ways of a Parish Councillor.   However, I believe my role as a Governor will stand me in good stead, as I not afraid to, challenge or question decisions to ensure the needs of the community are heard and met.

I am a Director of Challenging Perceptions, a charity for young people to explore and address mental health issues and wellbeing.

I am looking forward to the new challenge of being a Councillor for Donnington East Ward.

We have a young son and a Cocker Spaniel.

I served 7 years in the British Army in the Royal Corps of Signals, and since leaving due to PTSD after Afghanistan I am now working as an IT Manager.

Since I joined the Parish Council in 2019, I have been the driving force behind the restoration of the Donnington War Memorial, as well as other projects in the local area.

I am always approachable and willing to listen to anybody’s problems and issues.

I am available to assist and help any resident of the Parish, in any way I can.

Parish Council. Whether you voted for me or not, I will serve you as your local Councillor with honest determination and a resilience to make sure that Donnington’s potential is able to reach its maximum.

I studied Law at University, and the skills I learnt there will assist me in being able to fight to ensure Donnington gets its fair share and ensure funding for local projects is attained and delivered on.

In my spare time, I like to relax by walking my dog, Buddy, in the beautiful green spaces we have across our Borough in Telford and Wrekin.

I am currently employed by Donnington Partnership Charitable Trust  as the Centre Manager at Donnington Community Hub and I  love supporting the Community in putting on events and activities at the centre for everyone. I have supported the Donnington & Muxton  Voluntary Youth Club, the Dementia café and  Babes in the Hub Parent & Toddler Group that run from the Hub.

I am also a FA level 2 volunteer football manager and secretary of Sinclair United Junior football club.  Where I live I set up and chair the St Georges Partnership which has meant I have help organise and plan lots of community events , I really hope this experience will help me in supporting and delivering similar events to the community of Donnington & Muxton.

I moved away with my job in the early 1990s but returned 17 years ago.

I have 3 children and work as a School Business Manager in a special School in Wem. I thoroughly enjoy my job, and have always been a very active participant with my children’s schools serving as Chair of the PTA for a number of years.

I have been a Parish Councillor since 2011 and thoroughly enjoy the many and varied opportunities there are for me to better understand the workings of my local community and how the key stakeholder groups can work together to make real and lasting improvements to benefit everyone.

I attended Hadley Infant School, Muxton Primary School, Wrekin College and Newport Girls High School. I lived overseas in the United States of America (USA) for over a year and moved to Aotearoa New Zealand where I enjoyed a career in both banking and the utilities industries.

I have more than 7 years’ experience in advancing digital channels including chatbot and social media. I spent 4 years’ volunteering as a gender equality advocate at a local and national level in NZ. My professional and volunteering background inspired my MBA research project: “To what extent do chatbots powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) have a gender bias? A case study of New Zealand chatbots.”

I served as President for both the Wellington Branch of the National Council of Women of New Zealand (NCWNZ Wellington Branch) and President of the Postgraduate Students’ Association (PGSA) at Victoria University of Wellington. In addition to graduating with a MBA, I have a BA (Hons) History.

I returned to the UK 2 years’ ago and work for a Disabled People’s Organisation (DPO) as a Data and Insight Officer. As a disabled woman of colour, I am passionate about bias in technology, community engagement, disability rights and racial justice. I am motivated in bringing diversity and equity to the decision-making table and making pathways for those with less privilege.

I have resided in Muxton with my family for most of my life and I hope to serve my community of Muxton with the skills I’ve picked up. I’m happy to help residents from both Donnington and Muxton, so please do not hesitate to reach out

My aim is to ensure that any issues or concerns raised in Muxton are dealt with quickly and effectively as well as improving and enhancing facilities for residents. Muxton residents voice is key to progression, and I am always open to ideas and ready to help.

Some residents will know me from the Seabridge Development appeal 2016/2017. I prepared and presented documents to barristers, petitions, walking developers around Muxton, attending residents housing meetings … we won! I do not oppose sustainable and true affordable developments, I oppose over development on our greenspace and I also stand as a member for Parish Planning committee.

I have lived in Telford all my life and I will work hard for everybody across The Humbers and would invite anybody to get in touch with me if there is ever anything I can do to help.
