Community Award

The aim of these awards

To thank and reward those people living in Donnington & Muxton Parish and who deserve recognition for community activity, environmental achievements or in some other way contribute to the life of the Parish.

The emphasis will be on people or organisations with practical applications of ideas and schemes, which have already produced positive results in improving the environment or quality of life of the community.

Nominations for the awards

A committee of Donnington & Muxton Parish Council will annually consider individuals or organisations within the parish for this award.

Anyone may suggest to the Council, through the Clerk, of any person or organisation that may be considered for the award. The nominations can be made via the Parish Councils website or by a form available from the Parish Clerk at Turreff Hall, Turreff Avenue, Donnington, TF2 8HG

Proposals for the awards will be made no later than the last day of March each year and the awards shall be handed out at the Annual Parish Meeting usually held in April.

Rules

• Nominees should live in the Parish, but discretion can be granted to people or organisations from outside Donnington & Muxton Parish if there has been clear and substantial benefit to the Parish.
• A Parishioner is not eligible to receive an award every year for service rendered.
• A Nomination must have a Proposer and a Seconder.
• Serving Parish Councillors or staff may not receive an award.
• There will only be up to one organisation and one individual who may benefit from the award each year.
